6th Virtual Conference
for Women Archaeologists
and Paleontologists
During these three days, we will be shining a spotlight on early-career women researchers and women paleoartists, by presenting their work.
We want to emphasize that everyone, regardless of employment status, gender identity or expression, is warmly welcome to attend and participate in the discussions. We believe in the power of mentorship and networking to foster growth, diversity, and inclusivity within the academic community. We warmly invite you to register, submit your abstract, encourage your female colleagues to do so, and become part of this growing international community.
Over these three days, you will be able to discover the recent work of female archaeologists and paleontologists without permanent positions (46 oral presentations, 43 posters) as well as the productions of women paleoartists (17 paleoarts).
The VCWAP has been organized by the Association for Early-Career Women Archaeologists and Paleontologists (AWAP) since December 2021. Every year, this conference brings together early-career women researchers from around the world to explore diverse topics and engage in critical discussions about equity in our research fields. For those who wish to advance towards a more inclusive and equitable research environment, you can join the association and support its actions: https://awap-science.org/en/join-us/
