New mammal remains from the Pondaung Formation (late middle Eocene, Myanmar)

We describe several mammal remains from the late middle Eocene Kyargan locality (Pondaung Formation) in which only primate and two ungulate remains had been reported so far.

Besides the identification of two anthracotheriids, a homacodontid and a brontotheriid that are already known in other Pondaung localities, dental material is attributed to a dermopteran whose morphology suggests that the Pondaung dermopteran might have been related to the New World plagiomenids.

Moreover, two upper molars attributed to a small dichobunoid artiodactyl might represent the first evidence of the upper dentition of Pakkokuhyus lahirii Holroyd & Ciochon, 1995, a species scarcely known in Pondaung.
