Main research question
My research aims at identifying and interpreting the mechanisms (function, adaptation, development…) which drive tooth morphological evolution in mammals.
Topics of study
Notably, I focus on the adaptive and functional signal carried by extinct mammal dental morphology – including primates – through topographical analyses of dental archives.
During the last decade I also took part in the study of Paleogene anthropoid primates from South-East Asia. I also occasionally join projects testing the influence of phylogeny and development on dental evolution in rodents.
Fieldworks
In the framework of the study of the Paleogene asian anthropoids, I participate in the fieldworks led by the Myanmar-French Primate Pondaung Expedition in western Myanmar.
