Cursus
She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Poitiers (France), where she studied the evolution of catarrhine primate dentition through a morpho-functional approach combining 3D dental topography, 3D geometric morphometrics, experimental analyses, and modeling.
Main research question
Her research focuses on the relationships between tooth shape and function, particularly how dental morphology influences food fragmentation during mastication within an evolutionary and adaptive framework.
After a first postdoctoral project on the functional diversity of rodents, she is now investigating the evolution of dental morphology in primates, using both extant and fossil data, notably from the African Plio-Pleistocene and the Ethiopian fossil record, including the Shungura Formation.
